This Weeks Pairing:

Electric Peel Grapefruit IPA- American IPA- 6.0% Alcohol by Volume (ABV)- Magic Hat Brewing Company, South Burlington, VT USA
Our pairing begins-- In one hand you hold "The Wicked and The Divine" in the other you hold Electric Peel Grapefruit IPA, the imagination and inventiveness that went into making them are just a couple of the reasons why these two pair so well together.
At first pour the color is golden and slightly cloudy, with an off white head that dissipates to a nice lace. The aroma of the fruity,citrus hops will appeal to your senses and promises something fresh and different for your palate. Your first taste fulfills the promise of your nose; there is the typical bitterness you'd expect from an IPA, but then the grapefruit kicks in and your palate is revitalized, as if something "Divine" had a hand in it's creation, but beware the temptation to over indulge with a 6.0% ABV your evening could take a "Wicked" turn.
Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie reunite to bring you a story about gods, and how they would or could fit in to this modern age. Our protagonist Laura, is your typical fan girl, and our unknowing guide into a world where gods are the ultimate pop stars and pop stars are the ultimate gods. Every ninety years, twelve gods incarnate as humans. They are loved. They are hated. In two years, they are dead. But remember: just because you're immortal, doesn't mean you're going to live forever.
If you're looking for something that will redefine how you view gods and IPAs, the pairing of "The Wicked and The Divine" and Electric Peel Grapefruit IPA will more than exceed your expectations.
